Free Consultation
We don’t expect you to pay us for the chance to earn your business. When you schedule an appointment, we send professionals who can help you make decisions, answer questions and measure the area for your installation.
Supporting the Glass
Our specialists will help you determine how much weight the surrounding walls can bear when choosing your materials. With a tub enclosure, but particularly for stand-alone showers, the weight of the glass is critical to the construction.
Evaluating Ventilation
Our team will take a look at the ceilings and walls in your new shower. Moisture can affect wall paint and even cause mold to grow in your bathroom. If needed, we’re happy to install glass steam room kits to address moisture issues before they happen.
Framed or Frameless
Frameless standalone showers are stunning. If you are even thinking about selling your home, a frameless shower is a huge selling point. Even if you are not planning to sell, it creates a stunning focal point for your bathroom that’s both luxurious and usable.
The glass for frameless showers is thicker and heavier (to compensate for support a frame would provide), so the mounting assessment is extremely important.
Even more critical than careful mounting is making sure the area of the shower is properly sloped. That includes benches, half walls and the shower floor—they all need to slope by 1/16” to 1/8” toward the shower. It may be a very small slope, but it will keep water from leaking and reduce the chance for mold or mildew.
