A few months ago, I stopped by a friend’s house in Dothan and noticed an auto glass shop nearby. Since my windshield had a small crack, I decided to have the entire windshield replaced. After the replacement, I noticed several issues. The plastic base used to calibrate my dashcam was broken, the interior plastic panel above the side door handle was not properly secured and was sticking out, and the light ivory interior had black handprints left on it. In addition, the VIN plate in my car was torn off. The shop told me they would order a new VIN plate and reinstall it, and asked me not to pay at that time. I then returned to Atlanta and waited for their call. After a few months, they contacted me once the VIN plate arrived. I drove about five hours back to Dothan. They replaced the windshield again, installed the new VIN plate, and properly secured the loose interior panel. Although it took a long time, the owner made sure everything was completed correctly and even gave me a small discount. I did mention that the dashcam mount had been broken. The young woman at the front desk spoke in an unfriendly manner, which was disappointing. As this is a service business, I believe such an attitude can make customers uncomfortable, as it did to me. However, when the owner came out personally, she handled the situation kindly and showed a sincere effort to resolve everything. Her attitude changed how I felt, and I decided not to pursue the dashcam issue further. In the end, I am completely satisfied. The owner showed responsibility and professionalism by following through and making sure the job was finished properly.
