At Glass Doctor of Edmonton, we stand behind the quality of our auto glass services with industry-leading warranty coverage designed to give you peace of mind.

Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

We guarantee our workmanship for the lifetime of the windshield. This warranty covers:

  • Leaks
  • Wind noise
  • Installation defects such as if a problem arises due to our workmanship, we will reseal or replace the glass free of charge.

Exclusion: If rust is discovered on the frame after removal of the windshield, these issues are not covered:

  • The urethane might not stick to the frame and might cause leak and wind noises.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

Your windshield and/or rear window are covered against manufacturing defects for one year from the date of installation.

Additional manufacturer warranties may apply and will be noted on your invoice.

Limited Chip Repair Warranty

All chip repairs may not eliminate all visible damage, we can not guarantee the repair will not crack or spread because in the processing making room for the liquid repair to get in the crack there is a chance it will cause it to crack more.

If it does, we will credit the repair cost toward a windshield replacement.

Warranty Limitations

Warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original vehicle owner at the time of service. Warranty coverage is void if another company modifies or repairs the glass after our installation. For full details, please contact us.

Flat Warranty: WINDOW UNITS COVERAGE

A 5-year warranty for installed glass units—like the one offered by Glass Doctor—typically covers the following key areas:

Common Coverage Areas

  • Glass Seal Failure: If the hermetic seal between panes fails, leading to moisture buildup, fogging, or staining inside the glass.
  • Material Defects: Any flaws in the glass itself, such as cracks, chips, or distortion caused by manufacturing defects *Covered if noticed the same day.
  • Insulating Properties: For gas-filled units (like argon), our warranty guarantees that the insulating performance won’t degrade significantly over time up to 5 years.
  • Low-E or Coated Glass Deterioration: If coatings degrade and obstruct visibility or performance.
  • Hardware and Moving Parts: If your installation includes operable windows, locks, or balance systems, these components may be covered for defects or failure (one year limited warranty).
  • Supply Only: If the windows were purchased as a supply only product, then we will not cover the installation or labor for warranty replacement.

Exclusions

  • Accidental Breakage: Not Covered
  • Natural Disasters or Vandalism: Damage from storms, earthquakes, or intentional harm is not covered.
  • Improper Use or Modifications: Using thermal drapes or shading, tinting, or film that cause stress on the glass will void the warranty.
  • Structural Movement: If the building shifts and causes strain on the glass unit, that is not included and may alternatively be covered by your home warranty.

1 YEAR WORKMANSHIP COVERAGE

  • Workmanship Issues: Problems resulting from improper installation, such as misalignment or poor sealing, may be covered if they affect performance or safety.
