Updated from 1 to 4 stars: The owner contacted me and came out to not only fix the issue of he door sliding improperly, but also replaced the glass to fix the cosmetic imperfection. He was very apologetic and informed me that the people I previously encountered are no longer employed with the company. I appreciate the integrity that the owner showed and am glad that the issue was resolved. After my sliding glass door mysteriously shattered, I searched Google for a company to replace the glass. They came out the same day to measure the glass and give me an estimate, so I thought everything would be good. After the installation was complete, the technician told me the glass they ordered was slightly smaller than my glass, so the black seal had to be thicker to fill the gap and prevent it from breaking again. Even though it looked a little sloppy, at this point the job was done, and being as though it's a door we don't frequently use, I figured it would be fine. This was not the only error, however. I wish I had checked to make sure the door would actually slide after the installation. I did not until a few days later (again, we don't use the door frequently). Upon trying to exit through the door, I discovered that the door would not slide open at all. It leans to the side when you pull the handle, and you have to lift and slide it with two hands at the same time to get it open. I called them back, and they came to supposedly fix it. After failing to fix it, I was told that the rail system failed due to age, and there were a lot of framing issues, so the frame needed to be replaced. I asked why I was never informed of this prior to the glass replacement because I would've gotten everything done at once, especially given that I went through my homeowner's insurance for the replacement. I was then told that they don't do framework, so they wouldn't have been able to do any of that anyway. I said well I would've gone with another company that does do framework and got it done at once. They said "well we had already ordered the glass before seeing that there were framing issues". I said again I was never informed of any framing issues, and I could've simply paid them for the glass and got someone else to do the work. They then said "well we did our job, and we are not going to take the loss. We can't fix it or pay for it to be fixed." This was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company to come fix one issue and create another bigger issue when it all could've been prevented by telling me as soon as they saw an issue that they couldn't move forward with the job. Clearly, they are money hungry and took advantage of me being a woman. The way I was spoken to was disgraceful, and I will never do business with this company again, nor would I advise anyone else to. I will be sure to have my husband present for these things in the future.

We highly recommend Glass Doctor of Randallstown! They recently replaced the thermal panes in our 30 year old Velux skylights. Everything went smoothly, from the initial visit to measure and quote, to the installation itself, which required disassembly of the sashes. Ted supervised his very courteous and skilled two man crew, and needless to say, we are extremely pleased with the finished job. One big plus for me, was the concern the owner showed for the safety of his crew working in the serious summer heat- on our asphalt shingled roof. In temps reaching the upper 90s, we both agreed that it made sense to wait for some cooler days to schedule the installation. I come from a very safety conscious environment, and it was refreshing to see another company sharing my values. All in all, a great experience, at a great price!
