Double Pane Windows

Windows contribute a great deal to your home’s energy efficiency. They help keep your indoor air temperature consistent. If your home has single-pane windows, you may notice they don’t do the best job of controlling heat transfer.

Glass Doctor® of Miami specialists are trained to help you select and install the right insulated glass unit (IGU) for your home. Our double-pane windows help balance your indoor climate, lower your energy bills and increase the value of your home. We’ll replace your glass and ensure that your windows look their best and make your home more comfortable and energy-efficient.

Our IG units are ideal for any home, but are particularly recommended in the following situations:

  • Replacing less energy-efficient single pane windows
  • Protecting your home’s climate in areas that have hot summers or cold winters
  • Replacing windows that have a milky appearance or visible condensation due to seal problems

Insulated Glass Window Replacement

double pane window

Glass Doctor of Miami will replace your existing windows, utilizing your existing frame. This results in significant savings and makes your new windows a profitable project.

Our IGUs will reduce the heat that makes it inside your home during the summer, resulting in lower air conditioning bills and greater comfort. The units are made of two or more pieces of glass and a spacer, which helps insulate the window and seals the space between the panes.

Double pane windows are also ideal for reducing condensation since they contain a special moisture-absorbing material or a warm-edge glass spacer called a super spacer. We offer windows that contain a gas, such as argon or krypton, between the panes to provide additional insulation.

Our glass specialists will use a high-grade sealant on the perimeter of the unit. This decreases the likelihood of condensation forming, making it harder for moisture to invade the area between the double panes. All this is done to increase the lifespan of your home’s new windows.

Schedule an appointment today, and we'll come to your Miami home, at your convenience, to evaluate your windows and recommend a replacement.

Keep the frame, replace the glass.
