Auto Glass Care

Auto glass repair doesn't have to be a hassle. Glass Doctor® of Victoria glass professionals have the knowledge and experience to repair today's high-tech windshields, sunroofs and windows quickly and easily! All structural integrity will be preserved as we adhere to the highest Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) standards. We are also able to maintain glass repair and replacement for auto fleets, including some buses and RVs.

Types of Auto Glass

There are two types of glass used for vehicles:

Tempered: This glass is strong, but will shatter instantly upon impact. The broken pieces will be small and have no sharp edges, reducing risk of injury to passengers or pedestrians. Tempered glass is often used for passenger windows, quarter glass, back windows and sunroofs.

Laminated: This glass is used for windshields because it is two layers of glass that allows for technological wires and guides to be embedded in your windshield. If breakage occurs, the glass pieces should adhere to the interlayer. While less hardy than tempered glass, it is more difficult to shatter because of the dual nature of the pane.

Windshields Glass Repair

  • Driving with impaired vision is illegal, but the cheapest repair isn't always your best option. You may have rain sensors, antennas and temperature gauges in your windshield, so repair or replacement is simply not a job for amateurs. Glass Doctor of Victoria will always follow the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) installation specifications for your vehicle to guarantee your continued safety. No matter what the make or model, it's important to maintain the strength of this vital piece of glass!

    Auto Glass Tinting

A tasteful, inconspicuous glass tint is much more than attractive; it's an added barrier, blocking harmful UV rays and protecting your passengers. The sun will slowly damage your auto dash and upholstery, so adding auto window glass tint can preserve the long-term integrity of your investment.

    Auto Glass Repair and Replacement

Whenever possible, your Glass Doctor of Victoria professionals will repair, rather than replace, all auto glass. It's the right move for the environment and and it saves you money. We use industry-best standards for work and materials at every level of auto glass repair or replacement. If we must replace your windshield, we guarantee our work for a year. To protect your new windshield, we offer the option to add Clear Choice™ glass treatment. With one application of Clear Choice, your glass will have enhanced visibility during inclement weather and be much more resistant to scratches, stains, and damage from environmental pollutants and weathering.
