The Owner: Michael Eby
Glass Doctor of Kansas City was founded by Michael Eby in 2008. Eby had already owned one Glass Doctor location and decided it was time to expand his operations. He chose Kansas City because it allowed him to provide the community with exceptional customer service and employment opportunities when people were in need. At the time, economic forecasts were difficult, and Eby had to pivot away from only auto glass to prevail. Today, Glass Doctor of Kansas City is booming in residential and commercial glass, but auto glass is still part of the business. After many years of successful operations, Eby brought his daughter, Elizabeth Trautman, into the company. Trautman now co-manages the Kansas City location with her best friend, Katelyn Wallace. When Eby has some time off, he loves to make pizza and even has a restaurant-quality pizza oven in his backyard. Although the journey to opening Glass Doctor of Kansas City was not easy, Eby has shown that hard work, courage, and resilience lead to success.
